New Way to Wash a Cat?
One feline's cat nap turned into 12 minutes of horror after it ended up in the going for a spin in a washing machine.
According to The Mirror, Amanda Meredith's two-year-old Burmese cat, Oscar, had ventured into the washing machine for a quick snooze and was unnoticed her husband who had proceeded to load it up with their bed linens, detergent and set it to run on the hot water cycle.
Amanda revealed that she had hear a strange meowing sound but thought nothing of it until she couldn't find her furry pal anywhere and realized he was stuck in the washer.
She told news outlets, "The poor little cat had his hands on the glass as he was doing the rotations and he was looking at me. It was tragic."
After taking Oscar to the vet it was determined he had only incurred a few minor bumps and bruises. Oscar stayed overnight at the vet before being released home where Amanda said he slept for seemingly a solid seven days before he was back to normal.
Despite the incident, it seems Oscar still fancies the washing machine.
"He sits there and watches it tumble-turn all the time," Amanda shared. "Maybe he has PTSD or something — he has to sit at the door watching the wash cycle."
