Please Wear Pants When Going to Your Mailbox
Just because you can get away not wearing pants to your company's Zoom meetings in these COVID-19 times does not mean that you can keep the pants off when fetching the mail.
Note: it's perfectly acceptable to wear a bathrobe or your very accurate Storm Trooper cosplay to the mailbox -- just as long as you're clothed. Just know that it's your reputation on the line with the outfit you pick for your neighbors to see and judge.
However, the general public -- and the police -- draw the line at being nude from the waist down when it's time to grab the mail.
Yes, some people are actually shuffling along to their mailbox without any pants on. Well, people in Maryland, that is.
The Taneytown Police Department issued a public plea on Facebook on Tuesday, hoping that their status update will scare the pants on the scofflaws. "Please remember to put pants on before leaving the house to check your mailbox," The department simply reminded. "You know who you are. This is your final warning." So, be kind in these trying times. Wear pants. Your local police will thank you.
