Police Hunting for Aggressive Chicken
Watch out, there's a very mean chicken on the loose in Louisiana. With razor sharp talons, hard beak and a whole lotta attitude, police are working night and day to bring this terror to justice.
No, seriously. They even made a Facebook post about it warning residents to be on the lookout.
The Walker Police Department is putting the neighborhood on high alert after the aggressive bird wordlessly arrived at a bank last week and began assaulting the patrons. The siege lasted a whole week, making it unsafe to use the outside ATM or drive-through.
"Bank officials told officers that the chicken chased customers, attempted to enter customer vehicles and on a number of occasions, failed to engage in proper social distancing. Despite patrols of the area, including the kitchen of a nearby restaurant, the chicken could not be located," the department wrote on Saturday.
The felon fowl is described as "a reddish-tan chicken, approximately 18” tall and 6-8 lbs in weight" chicken. And, when brought to justice, faces "charges of assault, attempted battery, attempted burglary, terrorizing and ignoring an order of the Governor."
The department also strongly discourages any and all vigilantism, saying that the chicken can and will overpower those who try to take it on solo. Instead, anyone who spots the clucking crook is asked to shelter in place and alert police immediately.
